The Essex Junction Recreation and Parks (EJRP) Department will be holding the 16^th Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Maple Street Park in Essex Junction, on Saturday, July 4^th starting at 6 PM.  Residents can take a dip in the pool and enjoy the festivities including:  music featuring a local favorite SturCrazie, Mini Fun Town with Bounce Castle and Obstacle Course, face painting, arts and crafts, the Super Nova Disc Dogs, and more.  A fireworks show is scheduled for 9:30p.m. 

Local non-profit organizations will be on hand with food for purchase.  The Essex Junction Little League will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks, and the Essex High School Band Boosters will offer pizza and drinks.  Participants are encouraged to support these organizations by coming with an appetite and making a full night of the event. 

This event is free and open to the community.  If you are not a current season pool pass member, there will be a charge to use the pool.  Parking will be available at Maple Street Park, ADL Middle School, and Grace Methodist Church.  EJRP is encouraging people to think green this July Fourth and help the environment and one’s heart by walking or riding your bike to Maple Street Park to save on gas, cut down on pollution, miss the stress of traffic and parking, and get great exercise.

Alcohol, tobacco, other controlled substances, and pets (including dogs) are prohibited from Maple Street Park.  In the event of rain, the event will be relocated to the Essex High School gym, and the fireworks will show will take place from the high school back fields
