We have also built a new hub at the entrance to the park with four new benches. Local wood carver Giuseppe Di Dio made two large carvings out of wood found in Maple Street Park, which now call the newly fenced-in areas at the start of the path through the park home. We hope to add a few more carvings next year.
New front doors were installed at the Maple Street Recreation Center a few months ago for more efficient building access for our employees, patrons, and renters, and we also had doors installed that separate the front office area of the recreation center from the back preschool and camp areas. This keeps the kids in the back of the building safer, and the front of the building a little quieter!
Cascade Park received a new swinging bench this year and some cleaner looks around the curbings. Stevens Park is an ongoing discussion with some concerned citizens as to the development of this park.
We hope you take note of these improvements the next time you come to the park!
